Have you ever noticed how a transcript might spell a name phonetically? For example, it might write "Calibre" when your company is actually named "Qalibre." Correcting this everywhere in a long transcript can be tedious.
β
That's where Entities come in. Entities are the key proper nouns - names, companies, locations, and products - that Contented automatically detects in your conversation.
The Entities feature provides a single, powerful dashboard to review and correct these terms, acting as a smart "find and replace" to ensure accuracy across your entire conversation.
Why You Should Use Entities
Taking a moment to review and edit entities is a crucial step for getting the most accurate outputs.
Guaranteed Accuracy: Correcting an entity (e.g., changing "David Sterling" to "David Stirling") ensures the proper spelling is used in all summaries, insights, and content you generate.
Save Time: Instead of manually searching through the transcript for every instance of a misspelled name, you fix it once in the Entities panel, and we apply the change everywhere.
Improve Consistency: Ensure that specific product names, stakeholder groups, or company-specific acronyms are always spelled and capitalised correctly, maintaining a professional standard in all your generated content.

How to Generate and Edit Entities
The process is simple and straightforward.
Generate Your Entities
After your conversation has been transcribed, you can generate the entities.
Navigate to the conversation you want to work on.
Click the Add Entities button in the top action bar.
In the "Review & Edit Entities" panel that appears on the right, click the Generate Entities button.
Contented will now scan your entire transcript to identify and categorise all the key terms it can find.
β
Review and Edit
Once the process is complete, you will see a categorised list of all the entities found in your conversation, such as Person Name, Product Name, Stakeholder, and Location.
Scan the lists for any spelling errors, incorrect capitalisations.
To make a correction, simply click on the entity you want to change.
A text box will appear. Type the correct spelling or term into the box and click the Update button.
That's it! Your correction is now saved. This update will automatically apply across the entire transcript and will be used in any future content or insights you create from this conversation, ensuring everything is accurate and consistent.
