Creating discount codes

From the Corksy admin portal, go to Discounts
Click the + Add New Discount button
Select the Discount Method:
- Check Discount code as the method
Define/name the discount code:
- Create the exact code customers will use (Ex: WINE10)
- This code can be entered in the promo code section at the point of sale or during checkout on your website
Set the discount type:
- All Orders: Applies to both eCommerce and wine club orders
- Product: Specify the discount for a product or collection
- Shipping: Apply a shipping discount
- Wine Tasting: Discount for wine tastings
Configure discount details:
- Select the discount type: Percentage or Fixed Amount.
- Define whether the discount applies to specific product(s) or collection(s)
- Enable or disable the ability to stack discounts
Add minimum requirements:
- None
- Minimum Purchase Amount: Specify a dollar amount
- Minimum Quantity: Define the minimum quantity of items required
Set Active dates:
- Add a Start Date and End Date, or choose No End Date for ongoing discounts
Save your discount code

Creating automatic discounts

From the Corksy admin portal, go to Discounts
Click the + Add New Discount button
Select the Discount Method:
- Choose Automatic Discount as the method
Set the Discount title:
- Provide a name for the discount for easy reference
Set the discount type:
- All Orders: Applies to both eCommerce and wine club orders
- Product: Specify the discount for a product or collection
- Shipping: Apply a shipping discount
- Wine Tasting: Discount for wine tastings
Configure discount details:
- Select the discount type: Percentage or Fixed Amount.
- Define whether the discount applies to specific product(s) or collection(s)
Set Customer eligibility:
- All customers
- All wine club members
- Specific wine club members (with the option to select multiple)
Enable or disable the ability to stack discounts
Add minimum requirements:
- None
- Minimum Purchase Amount: Specify a dollar amount
- Minimum Quantity: Define the minimum quantity of items required
Set Active dates:
- Add a Start Date and End Date, or choose No End Date for ongoing discounts

Save your discount code

From your Corksy admin portal, go to Point of Sale → Quick POS Discounts
Under the Settings section, enable and set Admin approval thresholds:
- Enable admin approval for discounts exceeding a specific dollar amount or percentage.
In the POS Discount section, select + Create Custom Discounts
Enter the required information:
- Discount Name: Name the discount.
- Type: Specify whether it is percent-based or a fixed amount.
- Enable Discount: Toggle the discount on.
- Enable or disable admin approval for applying the discount.
Click Save.
