How Mailchimp Works with Corksy
Corksy pushes 4 native customer segments to Mailchimp via API push.
Mailchimp auto-de-duplicates contacts by email address.
Updates in Corksy will not sync automatically. You’ll need to either push an updated native segment or export the data from Corksy and import it into Mailchimp to reflect the changes.
✅ Make sure your audience file import follows formatting guidelines:

Segmentation Best Practices in Mailchimp
Keep all contacts under one master contact list.
Use customizable Mailchimp tags to organize contacts with additional details.
Automation Capabilities in Mailchimp
Basic email marketing automations and email templates.
For behavior-based automation, you’ll need a paid plan and a custom event tracking setup (see Corksy Complete to unlock real-time eCommerce automations).
Email Hygiene Best Practices in Mailchimp
Use the "Update existing contacts" option when importing.
Clean your list every 3–6 months, or after major changes (ex. Q2 Club Run) to maintain list hygiene.
Monitor engagement and remove inactive subscribers.
