Add Product Variants

  1. Navigate to the Products tab and click into a specific product.

  2. Scroll to the Variations section.

  3. Use a single product name (e.g., Phantom Chardonnay) and create size variants:

    • Example: 750ml bottle, 1L bottle, 148.28ml glass (5 oz)

  4. Enter specs for each variant:

    • Volume (liters/milliliters)

    • Price

    • Inventory

    • Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)

    • Unique SKU

Variants appear on your website, POS, and in the Wine Club.

CRV Tax and Compliance

  1. CRV (California Redemption Value) tax is calculated based on volume:

    • Products under 750ml = $0.05 CRV

    • Products 750ml and above = $0.10 CRV

  2. Volume must be entered correctly to ensure tax is applied.

This information is also used to verify regulatory compliance.

Required Fields and Shipping Setup

  1. Each variant requires a weight entry (used for shipping cost calculations).

  2. Corksy uses this weight to calculate real-time shipping rates from UPS and FedEx if integrated.

  3. If any required field is missing, the system will prompt you to complete it before saving.

  4. Click Save after entering all necessary fields.

Skipping required fields prevents the product from being activated or sold
