What Variants Look Like on the Frontend
On the Online Store, products show a date range and a Quick Add button.
Example: Phantom Chardonnay (750ml, 1L) displays size variants.
In POS, variant options function like menu selections:
Example: Burger with fries or burger with onion rings.
Fields like size and color can represent different meanings:
Wine: Size = bottle volume; Color = red/white/rosé
Food: Size = portion size; Color = ingredient type (e.g., blue cheese vs. hard cheese)
The terms "size" and "color" are placeholders for any customizable option.
Manual Variant Setup in the Admin
Navigate to Products > Edit and scroll to the Variants section.
Add multiple options (e.g., Size = Small, Medium, Large | Type = Blue Cheese, Hard Cheese).
Assign each variant a unique SKU.
Input the Variant Title, which displays to the customer:
Example: Red Wine – 1L, Red Wine – 2L
Variant Title = customer-facing name on storefront and POS.
Bulk Variant Setup via Excel
Use the product upload Excel sheet.
Keep the Product Name the same across rows.
Create different SKU Names for each variation.
Fill out:
Size (e.g., 750ml, 1L)
Color/Type (e.g., red, blue cheese)
Variant Title (e.g., Red Wine – 1L)
SKU-level naming allows you to track sales performance per variant.
