Segments are used to organise contacts or email subscribers on your CCK website.

Create a Contact Segment

To create a Segment for your contacts, head over to Contacts > All Contacts and create a filter using the Tag option. Select the applicable tag you want to include in the Segment. In the example in the video and screenshots below, we created Segments for students enrolled in two different courses:

💡Tip:

The segments created will automatically be updated as contacts are tagged with the applicable tags used to create segments.

Create Segments under Emails & Automations

To send relevant emails to your subscribers, you need to create segments under Emails & Automations. Please note that the segments you create in the Contacts area are not the same as the Segments you create in the Emails & Automations area.

Head over to Emails & Automations > Lists & Subscribers > Segments > Add Segment > Enter Segment Name

Add a filter using the Tag option and click Save as New Segment

💡Tip:

Segments found under Contacts and Emails & Automations sections are completely different and unrelated.

Segments under contacts are used to organize your contacts where as Segments under Emails & Automations are used to create contact segments to send applicable and relevant emails.

💡Tip:

Contacts need to be subscribers in order to receive emails from you.
