A membership product type can be used to add membership or course products to your CCK website. Auser login or new user registration will be created in your CCK membership area for all membership product purchases.

When your customer buys a membership product, they receive two automated system emails from the CCK system: 1. Email Invoice and 2. Membership Details.

1. System Email: Email Invoice

When a member buys a product through a checkout page (automatic), the system sends an automated invoice email with a summary of the products they purchased.

Email Subject: Your order is complete

Sender Email: the email address you added under Applications> Email Server

2. System Email: Membership Details

This system email confirms membership details as shown below.

Email Subject: Your membership details

Sender Email: the email address you added under Applications> Email Server

Add a single member to your website (manually)

When you manually add a single member to your website, only one email will go out to your new member as shown below.

Email Subject: Set new password

Sender Email: the email address you added under Applications > Email Server

You can manually add a new member to your website by navigating to your Contacts and selecting Add Contact > Add user details > Save.

Open the new contact you created and make the contact a website member as shown below:

Add a bulk list of members to your website (manually)

To upload a bulk list of names and emails/ members to your website, you need to first download your contact CSV template sheet from your Contact area inside the CCK system. Navigate to Contacts > More Button > Export as shown below.

On the pop-up screen, select yes to export your existing contacts. You can export 0 contacts - this is simply a way for you to get your contact file template.

Open your email inbox and look for the System Email: Your export is ready! Click download and save your file as a CSV file on your machine.

Next, add your bulk list of users to this CSV template. Check all details.

To import your completed CSV sheet, navigate to Contacts > More Button > Import as shown below.

On the pop-up screen, confirm that you agree with the terms and select Import Now.

On the next pop-up screen, match all of your headings to the system headings.

Confirm that all of your columns have a tick mark to the left. For columns which can not be matched, select the skip option from the drop-down list. Confirm if the first line in your CSV sheet is a header.

Important: if you want all of your contacts to be added as members to your CCK website, you need to select the Create member option from the drop-down list next to the Registered field. If you do not want your contacts to be added as website members, select the skip option from the drop-down list next to the Registered field.

Your users will not receive any password setup emails from the CCK system when you add them in bulk as website members. When you are done, select the Next button.

You will see a pop-up as shown below. The system will notify you by email when your import is complete.
