Courted Candidates is a powerful, easy-to-use tool designed to help you identify high-potential agents and streamline your recruiting outreach—especially if you're short on time. Whether you're a power user or just getting started, this guide walks through how to make the most of it.

What Is Courted Candidates?

Courted Candidates provides you with daily, high-quality agent recommendations tailored to your preferences. Unlike traditional search filters and tables, Candidates is designed for users who want to move quickly—spending 15 to 20 minutes a day identifying and reaching out to top prospects.

Step 1: Set Your Preferences

Before diving in, take a minute to customize your preferences. You’ll only need to do this once (unless you want to update them later).

Click the "Set Preferences" button in the top-right corner of the Courted Candidates page. Here’s what you can configure:

Location Preferences

  • Default: Your office locations (as set in your account settings).

  • Customize: Add or remove cities or ZIP codes relevant to your recruiting territory.

  • Location Type: Choose how location is defined—agent’s office location, transaction location, or home address (note: home address data varies by MLS).

Ideal Agent Profile

Specify what makes an agent a good candidate for you:

  • Production volume

  • Closed transactions

  • Average sale price

  • Time in industry

Use the "Must Have" toggle to indicate strict requirements. If turned on, only agents who exactly match those filters will be shown. If turned off, you'll still see prioritized candidates who come close to your criteria.

Tip: Updating your preferences and hitting save will refresh your recommendations.

Step 2: Review Your Recommendations

Courted Candidates shows up to 30 new, relevant agents per day—all unique to you. We won’t show:

  • Agents you’ve recently viewed

  • Agents assigned to other team members

  • Agents already in an advanced stage (e.g., meeting scheduled, in negotiation)

Categories You May See:

  • Recent Co-Broker: Agents who recently closed a deal with someone in your office

  • Boomerang Agents: Previously affiliated agents whose business may have declined since leaving

  • Ready to Move: Agents with high potential to move and/or no active or pending deals

  • Trouble in Current Office: Agents at brokerages seeing turnover or performance issues

  • Similar to My Agents: Agents who have similar production statistics as the agents at your office

  • Rising Star: Agents who are predicted to grow their businesses

  • Fresh Talent: Agents who are newer to this market and off to a good start

  • Ideal Agent: Agents who fit the persona you defined in your Preferences

  • Decreasing Sales: Agents whose businesses are declining

Step 3: Engage With Candidates

Each agent is presented as a card, which includes:

  • Key performance metrics

  • High-level fit based on your preferences

  • Quick thumbs up/down to sort or hide agents

Viewing Agent Profiles

Click a card to see full profile details. You’ll notice a banner at the top that:

  • Confirms this is a Courted Candidates recommendation

  • Shows why this agent was recommended (e.g., recent co-broker)

  • Lets you navigate between agents with Previous and Next buttons

Step 4: Stay Organized

  • Liked agents are added to your Liked Agents list!

  • Disliked agents are hidden for 30 days

  • You’ll see a checkmark on any agents you’ve already viewed

  • Refresh your page to move completed/disliked agents to the bottom so you can pick up where you left off

Best Practices

  • Start with Candidates if you're short on time: It's a great way to get quick wins without digging through filters and tables

  • Use thumbs down to declutter: Don’t waste time on agents who clearly aren’t a fit

  • Use Compose AI directly from profiles: You’ll move faster and keep your outreach personal
