In the vast majority of cases, Courted's data comes directly from the MLS. So if something looks off in Courted, the MLS is usually the right place to start β either the data there will explain the discrepancy, or confirming it exists in the MLS is the first step before we can investigate on our end.
Read on for details on common data issues and how to troubleshoot them before escalating them to our team. This Data FAQ article is another good resource for understanding how we receive and display our data.
My agent's production numbers look different from what I see in the MLS
A few things could explain this:
Date range. Courted often defaults to the last 12 months, not year-to-date. If you're comparing a last 12 month range in Courted to a YTD figure in your MLS, the numbers will naturally differ.
Co-represented deals. For any transaction where two agents co-listed or co-represented the buyer, Courted gives each agent half credit β 0.5 units and 50% of the volume. Some MLS portals give full credit to both agents, which will create a gap.
A specific listing is missing. If a deal isn't showing up on the agent's profile at all, that will affect the totals. See the section below on missing listings.
If none of the above explains the gap, reach out to us via our support chat and provide:
The agent's name
The MLS
A link to the agent's profile in Courted (the actual URL)

A specific listing is missing from an agent's profile
Before reaching out to us, it's worth ruling out a few things:
Is the listing in the MLS? Courted only has deals that are in the MLS. Off-market transactions that were never entered in the MLS won't appear in Courted.
Is the agent actually attributed on the deal? Look up the property on Zillow (or a similar site). Under the "What's special" section on Zillow, you'll see the MLS it was listed in, the seller's agent, and the buyer's agent. If the agent you're looking for isn't listed there, they aren't attributed to the deal in the MLS β and Courted won't show it on their profile either.
Is it a non-standard property type? In most MLSs, Courted ingests and displays only RESO standard property types. Some commercial, land, or specialty property categories use non-standard types and won't be pulled in.
To escalate to us, send:
The MLS listing ID
A link to the agent's profile in Courted (the actual URL)
A link to the listing on Zillow or a similar site, confirming the MLS and that the agent appears as the seller's or buyer's agent
An agent's brokerage history or time in industry looks wrong
Time in industry is calculated from an agent's first transaction in a given MLS. Most MLSs don't have records going back much more than 20 years, and some only provide 3β5 years of history β so this figure may undercount a long-tenured agent's experience, especially if they've been inactive for a period or have worked in multiple MLSs.
Brokerage move dates are estimated, not exact, because MLSs don't always record when an agent officially changes offices. Courted infers the move date using a few main signals: (1) when the office affiliation changes in the MLS, (2) the date of the agent's last activity at their prior brokerage, and (3) the date of their first activity at the new one. In most cases this estimate is accurate to within 2-4 weeks.
One common reason a move date appears earlier than expected: agents sometimes carry active listings from their old brokerage to their new one. When those deals close, the MLS data can make it look like the agent started at the new brokerage before they actually did.
To escalate to us, send:
The agent's name and a link to the agent's profile in Courted (the actual URL)
The correct move date (or approximate timeframe) and which office they joined
Whether the agent had any active listings they carried over from a prior brokerage, if known
An agent isn't showing up in Courted at all
Having an active real estate license is not enough to appear in Courted. An agent must be an active member of an MLS that Courted has integrated.
Common reasons an agent may be missing:
They haven't paid their MLS dues and are no longer in the active membership records
They're licensed but haven't yet joined an MLS
They're a member of a local or regional board that Courted hasn't integrated yet
Before reaching out to us: search for the agent in your MLS portal directly. If you can't find them in the MLS, we won't be able to either β the first step is confirming they're an active MLS member. If they aren't showing up in the MLS, they'll need to contact their MLS directly to resolve it.
If the agent does appear in the MLS but not in Courted, reach out to us with:
A screenshot of the agent appearing in the MLS, and the name of the MLS
Their license or DRE number and MLS member ID
Links to any listings they appear on in the MLS
