Agent Search
The Agent Search feature allows you to quickly and easily find agents who meet your specific criteria. You can filter agents by market, experience, specialization, and more.
Step 1: Navigate to Agent Search
From the left-hand navigation, click Search, then select Agent Search at the top. This will take you to the main Agent Search page, which displays a list of all agents who meet your current filter criteria. You can sort the list by name, experience, specialization, or any other column by clicking on the column header. You can also view each agent's profile by clicking on their name.
Step 2: Customize your Search with Filters
Before you can save a search, you need to apply at least one filter. Click the All filters button in the top right corner of the Agent Search page. This opens a side panel where you can filter by:
Agent type (e.g. exclude Managing Brokers, include agents with nothing active or pending, etc.)
Location (city, state, zip code, or MLS)
Sales volume (minimum/maximum)
Closed transactions
Potential to move / Potential to grow
Est. time in industry / Est. time at office
Office name, Brand name, Agent name
Contact information
And more!
Many filters have Include and Exclude options, giving you fine-grained control. For example, you can include agents "Near My Offices" while excluding "Managing broker / Managers."
You can also use the quick-access filter dropdowns (Agent type, Sales volume, Location) at the top of the page for faster filtering without opening the full panel
Tips + best practices for filtering:
Press Enter after typing each filter value (e.g., office names, zip codes) to commit it. If you donโt, the filter wonโt apply.
After setting filters, click Apply to update your results. The agent count and total sales volume will refresh in the top left.
To adjust filters:
Click the X to remove an individual filter
Select Clear all to reset everything
Use All filters to edit existing filters
If results look off:
Double-check spelling and confirm each value was committed with Enter
Review any active filters that may be narrowing results unexpectedly
Restart with Clear all if needed
For more targeted searches, use filters like Sales Volume or Closed Transactions to refine results and exclude unwanted activity types.
Once you've applied your relevant filters, the number of results found from your search as well as total sales volume will display on the upper left-hand corner:
Initially, you'll see the first 20 results from your search. You can select how many results to view per page by clicking one of the options (20, 50, or 100) in the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
Use the left or right arrow buttons, or input a page number directly to navigate pages:
Step 3: Save Your Search
Once you've applied your filters and reviewed the results, saving them is simple:
Look for the floppy disk (๐พ) blue icon button in the top right corner next to All filters. It will appear once you've applied at least one filter. (Note: if you haven't applied any filters yet, this button won't be visible.)
Click on that blue button
Enter a name for your search. Choose something descriptive that will help you remember what parameters you set.
Optional: add collaborators by searching for team members in the "Add collaborators" field. Collaborators will be able to view and use the saved search. The person who creates the search is automatically listed as the Creator.
Click Save. Your search is now saved!
Once you have saved searches, any saved searches with new agents that meet the search criteria will appear with a red dot next to the saved search name:
The new agents will also display at the top of your search results and will be noted with a New! tag.
Quick Tip: Courted starts you out with three pre-created saved searches that we think might be helpful. Make sure to edit those and add filters for location & production levels that are relevant to you!
Remember that a Saved Search is a dynamic list, not static. Therefore, the list will reflect whatever agents match the criteria you've filtered for, and will update each day. If you like an agent that you found from your search results, it is important to make sure you've updated their status and assigned them to yourself. That way, if they no longer match your search parameters, you can still find the agent in your recruiting pipeline.
Step 4: Access Your Saved Searches
Over time, you'll want to come back to your searches in order to continue adding new agents that match your avatar to your top of funnel.
In order to access your saved search, you'll want to go to the lefthand navigation bar, select Search, and then click the Agents dropdown underneath your Saved Searches. This will show you the full list of Saved Searches you've created, and you can click into any search you'd like to view results and adjust filters as needed!
If you've saved an office or brand search, you can access those saved searches the same way.
Exporting Results
You can export a list of agents to a CSV file for further analysis. To do this, click on the Export button in the top right corner of the page.
You can export up to 1,000 results from Agent Search at a time!
Step 5: Edit Your Saved Searches
If you want to edit a saved search,
Click into your saved search
Click the All Filters button
Adjust your filters and click Apply
You'll see an orange box in the top right corner that says You have unsaved changes to your search - select either Update search to save these changes to your existing Saved Search, or Save as a New Search to create a new search.
Delete a Saved Search
If you no longer need a saved search, you can delete it:
Open the search.
Click the โฎ (three-dot) menu next to the search name at the top of the page.
Select Delete saved search.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
This will not remove any agents from the platform or your pipeline. Instead, it will just remove the search from your list of Saved Searches!
Renaming a Saved Search
To rename a saved search without changing its filters:
Open the saved search.
Click the โฎ (three-dot) menu next to the search name at the top of the page.
Select Edit saved search name.
Type the new name and hit save!
Adding collaborators to a Saved Search
Saved Searches are collaborative! You can share them with teammates so your whole recruiting team is working from the same list. If you need to add a colleague after you've already created the search, here's how:
Open the saved search.
Click the โฎ (three-dot) menu next to the search name at the top of the page.
Select Manage Collaborators.
Search for a collaborator, select their name, and hit the black Save button to add them!
When you add someone a collaborator, they will receive an email notification letting them know. Please note that your colleague must already have Courted access in order to view the search results. The search will also appear in their own Saved Searches sidebar for direct access.
FAQs & Troubleshooting
I don't see a Save search button โ why?
The blue save icon (floppy disk ๐พ) only appears after you've applied at least one filter. Go to All filters, apply at least one filter, click Apply, and the icon will appear in the top right corner next to All filters.
I can't find my saved search. Where did it go?
Navigate to Search in the left sidebar. Under "Saved Searches," click the Agents dropdown to see your list. If you don't see it there, check that you're logged into the correct account. If someone shared it with you, it will also appear in your sidebar after they add you as a collaborator. If you still can't find it, you may not have saved the previous search you created
I don't have the pre-created Courted searches. What should I do?
If the three default searches (Co-brokes, High Growth, and Vulnerable Agents) aren't visible, they may have been deleted mistakenly. You can recreate them manually by applying the appropriate filters in Agent Search and saving them. Check out our Essential Searches for Recruiting and Retention article for instructions!
Can Saved Searches show agents from my existing pipeline?
Saved Searches pull from Courted's full database of MLS agents. Agents who are already in your pipeline will appear in search results, but you can filter them out using the Agent type filters (e.g. under 'Agent Type,' select Unassigned or No Status to view agents who are not already in you or your colleague's pipeline).
How do I sort the results in a Saved Search?
Click any column header in the results table either once or twice to sort that column by greatest to least, or least to greatest. You can sort by Sales volume, % Change, Est. time in industry, and more.
How many results can I see at once?
You can view 20, 50, or 100 results per page using the options in the bottom left corner. Use the arrow buttons or type a page number to navigate between pages.
Can I export my Saved Search results?
Yes! Click the download/export button (arrow icon) in the top right corner of the page. You can export up to 1,000 agents to a CSV file that includes agent contact information. Please note that we have limitations on our exporting functionality in order to remain compliant.
