INTRODUCTION

Public Booking makes it easy to open your club’s courts and events to the public—no membership or CourtReserve account required. This page provides an overview of how the feature works and links to the setup, player experience, reporting, and FAQ resources you need to successfully launch and manage Public Booking.

OVERVIEW

What is Public Booking?

Public Booking allows clubs to open reservations and event registration to the public without requiring players to create a CourtReserve account or hold a membership.

Once enabled, your club receives a dedicated public booking link that can be shared anywhere, including your website, social media, email campaigns, or QR codes. Players can view availability, register for events, and complete their booking through a streamlined flow designed specifically for public users.

Public Booking is designed to:

  • Increase club visibility and discoverability

  • Attract new players and first-time visitors

  • Reduce friction caused by account creation or membership requirements

  • Protect revenue through required upfront payment and SMS-based verification

Eligible Clubs

Public Booking is available to clubs with an active payment processor located in the United States and Canada. Eligible clubs can enable this feature from the admin panel.

Getting Started

Getting started is simple—enable the feature, configure a few basic settings, and copy and share your Public Booking URL.

For detailed, step-by-step instructions, see the Public Booking: Set Up Guide and Overview.

Coming Soon

The following enhancements are currently in development and will be added to the Public Booking experience in future phases.

1. General Liability Waivers: General liability waivers are not yet integrated into the Public Booking flow. We are actively working to incorporate waiver functionality in a way that aligns seamlessly with the existing public booking process.

In the meantime, we recommend using the Allow Public Signing Link within the Guest Waiver Kiosk feature for public booking players who are required to complete a waiver.

2. Access Controls Support (PIN Codes): Support for access controls using PIN codes is not currently included in Public Booking. This functionality is in progress and will be introduced in a future release.

3. Google Business Integration: The Google Business integration has been completed. However, before releasing it more broadly, we need to ensure that at least 15 clubs with active Google Business Profiles are prepared to link and participate.

If you’re interested in public booking access through Google:

  • Reach out to the CourtReserve Customer Success team and let them know you’d like to participate.

  • We’ll note your interest and notify you when the Google booking capability is ready to be released.

Booking through Google will be released in a future phase once participation requirements are met.
