INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Force members to create a payment profile page with a credit card (or ACH) number at the membership type level.

  • Use Cases: System users ensure prompt payment for bookings, lessons, and events by requiring members to create a page that has an active credit card and the repayment details. Optionally, system users can require immediate payment after members book a court.

System users can also require a payment profile for instructor lessons and events. These settings are configured on different pages.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

To require a payment profile for bookings:

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Click SETTINGS > BOOKING SETTINGS on the side menu.

  3. Click the General icon.

On the next page, click the Costs and Court Costs tabs.

Go to the Require Payment Profile row. Enable the feature for each membership type individually, or check the first box and select all types at the same time. Click the Save Changes button.

Require Payment When Booking Courts Online

Optionally, system users can enable or disable the Require Payment When Booking Courts Online feature at the same time. Go to the row in the table and enable the feature for each membership type individually, or check the first box and select all types at the same time.

If this setting is enabled, CourtReserve gives the member 15 minutes to complete payment after they book a court. If they do not pay for their reservation within that time, CourtReserve does not save the reservation.

FEATURE USAGE - USERS' PERSPECTIVE

If a membership type requires a payment profile, CourtReserve displays a warning message when a player tries to book a court but does not have a payment profile.

Members can open and edit their payment profile on the member portal. The member clicks their account name and selects Payment Profiles on the drop-down menu.

The next page shows the current payment profile(s) and a button to create more profiles.
