Require Payment Profiles for Events

A Handy Feature When Players Must Pay Event Fees Upfront

INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Members must have a payment profile set up on the member portal to register for an event.

  • Use Cases: Club managers enable this feature to ensure qualified members register for an event. System users can enable this feature at the platform level or at the event level.

PREREQUISITES

Know how to create an event.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

To enable the feature at the platform level (and require payment profiles for all future events):

  1. Log in to the member portal.

  2. Go to the SETTINGS > EVENTS SETTINGS.

  3. Click the Defaults icon.

  4. Scroll down to the table.

  5. Go to the Require Payment Profile column heading and check the box. CourtReserve automatically enables this feature for each membership type.

  6. Click Save changes.

System users can enable and disable this feature at the membership type level.

Customizing a specific event

System users can manage this feature at the event level (and override platform default settings).

  1. Create a new event or open an existing one.

  2. Scroll down to the settings table.

  3. Go to the Require Payment Profile column heading and check or uncheck the box.

  4. Click Save Changes.

FEATURE USAGE - USERS' PERSPECTIVE

CourtReserve displays a warning message and a link if a player tries to register for an event without a payment profile.
