INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: System users can require members to create a payment profile - including a credit card or ACH number - before they can book a court. This setting is configured at the membership type level.
Use Cases:
Require members to have an active payment profile on file before they can complete a court booking
Require immediate payment at the time of booking to reduce no-shows and unpaid reservations
Apply payment profile requirements selectively by membership type
Note: System users can also require a payment profile for instructor lessons and events. Those settings are configured on separate pages.
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
To require a payment profile for bookings:
Log in to the admin panel.
Navigate to Settings > Booking Settings in the side menu.
Click the General icon.
On the next page, click the Costs tab, then the Court Costs tab.

Require Payment Profile
Go to the Require Payment Profile row in the table. Enable the feature for each membership type individually, or check the first box to select all membership types at once. This requires members to have an active payment profile on file. Click Save Changes.
Require Payment When Booking Courts Online
Optionally, system users can enable the Require Payment When Booking Courts Online setting at the same time. Go to that row in the table and enable the feature for each membership type individually, or check the first box to select all membership types at once.
Note: When this setting is enabled, members have 15 minutes to complete payment after booking a court. If payment is not completed within that window, CourtReserve does not save the reservation.
USER PERSPECTIVE
If a membership type requires a payment profile, CourtReserve displays a warning message when a member tries to book a court without one on file.
Members can add or update their payment profile from the member portal. Click the account name, then select Payment Profiles from the drop-down menu.
Members can save multiple payment methods - such as a credit card and an eCheck - to their profile. Each saved method displays the last four digits of the account number and the date it was added.
Preferred - The payment method CourtReserve uses by default when processing a charge. Only one method can be marked as preferred at a time.
Set Preferred - Click this button on any saved payment method to make it the default for future transactions.
Delete - Removes the payment method from the profile.
Create Payment Profile - Allows member to add another payment option.
