INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: Create one or more custom closure category tags to better organize and manage court or facility closures.

Use Cases: CourtReserve includes a set of default closure types. Administrators can add new custom types, edit existing ones, or remove types that are not relevant to their organization.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS. A new page displays.

  3. Go to the COURT & RESOURCE SETTINGS heading.

  4. Click the Closure Types icon.

Creating a closure type does not automatically display this kind of event on the member portal. System users must create a closure (with a specific closure type tag).

Creating a Closure Type

Click the green Create Closure Type button.

On the next page, enter a name for the closure and then click Save. Optionally, customize the colors (background and text), and add a message that displays on the member portal when a system user assigns this closure type.

CourtReserve adds the closure type to the list. Use the buttons to edit or delete a closure type.

ADMIN PERSPECTIVE

After creating a specific closure linked to a specific closure type (for example, Weather), system users will see that closure type displayed in the schedulers, provided the option to show it on the admin side is enabled. Canceled reservations associated with the closure will also display the corresponding icon.

USER PERSPECTIVE

The selected Closure Type will be included in the notice emailed to affected players.

Note: In older videos, the term Ball Machines is used to describe any rentable equipment. This label has since been updated to Resources throughout CourtReserve (unless a facility has chosen a custom name). The functionality remains the same—only the name has changed.
