Coworker becomes most powerful when it has access to the tools your team already uses. By connecting your data sources, Coworker can read your organization's information — documents, messages, tickets, code, and more — to help you get real work done.
There are two types of connections in Coworker:
Network-level connections — Set up by your Network Admin. These connect your organization's shared tools (e.g., Slack, GitHub, Google Workspace) for the whole team.
Individual-level connections — Set up by you. These authorize Coworker to access data on your behalf, respecting your personal permissions within each tool.
This article covers how individual enterprise users can connect their data sources via OAuth.
Prerequisites
Your network admin must have already enabled the relevant data sources for your network. If a connector does not appear in your list, contact your admin.
You must have an active account with the data source you are connecting.
How to connect your data sources
Option 1: Connect from the Work Page (recommended)
Go to the main Work page at app.coworker.ai.
In the top right corner, click Data Sources.
You will see a list of Available data sources.
Click on an Available source and follow the OAuth authorization flow to grant Coworker access.
Once authorized, the connector will show as Connected.
Repeat for each data source in the list.
Option 2: Connect during a Deep Work session
If you start a Deep Work session that requires a data source you have not yet connected, Coworker will prompt you inline within the chat to complete the connection. You can access the authorization flow directly from the chat, and the chat will continue after you authorize the required data source.
ℹ We recommend connecting all your data sources upfront from the Work page. This ensures Coworker has everything it needs before you start, so you won't be interrupted mid-session.
What happens during an OAuth connection
When you click to connect a data source, you will be redirected to that tool's login and authorization page. You will be asked to grant Coworker read access to your data. Coworker only requests the permissions it needs — it does not write to or modify data in your connected tools unless a specific write action is explicitly part of a task you request.
Once you approve, you are redirected back to Coworker and the data source is marked as Connected.
Managing your connections
You can view the status of all your individual connections from the Data Sources button on the Work page or from within your Settings modal.
To remove a source, find the source in your Connected Data Sources and click the three dots to disconnect. This will move the source to Available.
Supported OAuth data sources
The data sources available to you depend on what your Network Admin has configured. Common OAuth-based sources include:
Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar)
Slack
GitHub
Salesforce
HubSpot
Zoom
Asana
Jira
Confluence
ℹ Not all connectors use OAuth. Some data sources (such as Postgres and Airtable) require API keys or other credentials and are set up differently. See the individual connector articles for those tools for setup instructions.
