Getting started with the Desktop App

Access Coworker directly from your Mac.

The Coworker Desktop App is a native macOS application that gives you fast, persistent access to Coworker without needing a browser tab. It runs in your menu bar and connects to the same account and data you use on the web.

Prerequisites

  • A Coworker account (any plan)

  • macOS (the Desktop App is currently macOS only)

Downloading the Desktop App

  1. Click your profile icon or navigate to Settings in Coworker

  2. Scroll to the Get Desktop App section

  3. Click the Download for macOS button

Installing the Desktop App

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file

  2. Drag the Coworker app icon into your Applications folder

  3. Open Coworker from your Applications folder or Spotlight

  4. Sign in with your existing Coworker credentials — your account, data, and settings sync automatically

ℹ On first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open to proceed.

Using the Desktop App

Once installed, the Desktop App works the same as the web version of Coworker — you have access to all the same features including Chat, Meetings, Agents, and Settings.

Key advantages of the Desktop App:

  • Always accessible — no browser tab required

  • Stays logged in across restarts

  • Faster access to Meetings and Notetaker controls

  • Supports all connected data sources and integrations

Troubleshooting

  • App won't open: Make sure you've moved it to your Applications folder. If macOS blocks the app, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

  • Can't zoom or scroll: If you encounter display issues, try quitting and reopening the app. If problems persist, use the web app at app.coworker.ai and contact support.
