Working through technical repair roadblocks, customer service solutions, and more can be tough when you don't have a quick answer. If you are strapped for ideas of how to solve your store issue, the Message Board can be a resource to help. We will go over how to navigate the tool effectively so you can find what you need quickly and get back to providing excellent service.
When you click on the Message Board, before you go too far, you will have to read and accept the message board agreement. CPR sets these guidelines to build a safe and conducive environment for solutions to grow. Violations of these guidelines will be handled on a case-by-case basis by CPR. To review the agreement, you can click here.
Once you accept the guidelines, you can view the Message Board by Topic or Discussions. You can also view it by discussions you are Watching, which are discussed further below. We will go over all, but for now, we will start with Topics.
On the page, you will be given a wide variety of topics to look through. Think of them as folders that hold discussions relating to the theme. Once you find a topic of interest or that may have answers you are looking for, click on it.
Here you can scroll through all the discussions on that topic. Certain discussions may be "Pinned" to the top of the page in order of most recently pinned. Corporate moderators pin discussions that they feel are important for everyone to look through. To see if the conversation has what you are looking for, click on a discussion.
In the discussion view, you can either scroll through the entirety of the discussion or use the search bar to find key terms throughout the comments. If the discussion has the right question but no right answer, you can click to watch the conversation. When you click Watch, you not only get email updates, but you get a dedicated page to see all your watched discussions.
Now, if viewing all the discussions by topic isn't working for you, you can view them in a long list in the Discussions area. The discussions area is a great way to see what are the most recent conversations across all topics.
Here, you can search through all discussions using the top search bar. The search bar will look through Discussion Titles and Comments.
On this page, you will want to take note of a few small details in the description of each discussion. You have the title of the discussions, who posted it, and how long ago the discussion was started. To the far right, you have the associated topic in a color bubble (click this to go to the topic), along with how many replies are on the conversation. You will also see icons occasionally in discussions.
The eye icon means you are watching the conversation. This is handled by you when you choose to watch a conversation; see above.
The lock icon means that no one can comment any longer. The choosing to lock discussions is handled by CPR corporate moderators and is usually done when a discussion has no more need for further commenting.
The pin icon means it will be the first discussion to show on the topic. CPR corporate moderators handle the choosing of pinned discussion.
The checkmark icon means that this discussion has a correct answer. CPR corporate moderators handle the choosing of correct answers in discussions.
Once you find a discussion that is what you need, click on it and you'll be taken to the discussion view and use it as discussed above.
And that is everything you need to know about viewing and searching through the Message Board. As you can see, the Message Board will be a great resource for finding solutions and better business practices. If you have questions about starting a discussion, check out this article. Otherwise, we hope you find this tool useful for you and your franchise.
