Cut

Removes text line or cost line from an estimate.

  1. Right-click (ctrl+click on some computers) to show the context menu.

  2. Click Cut.

To select lines in the estimate:

  1. Click and hold on the first line you want to select.

  2. Still holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor down the page.

  3. The shaded background shows the lines selected.

  4. When the last line to be cut has been selected, release the mouse button.

  5. Click Cut to remove the selection.

Tips:

  • To cancel (remove) a selection, click anywhere in the estimate outside the selected lines.

  • Cut is an option only when one or more text lines or cost lines are selected.

  • Lines cut from the estimate can be inserted elsewhere in an estimate. After cutting lines from the estimate, click in the estimate just above where you want the lines re-inserted. Then click Paste to insert those lines.

  • Cut will not delete a subtotal line. Use the Delete option on the Edit menu to remove a subtotal line.
