Paste content from clipboard into estimate.

Pastes the content of the clipboard below the line selected in the estimate.

Shortcut: Ctrl+V

Icon:

Under Main Menu > Edit Menu, click:

Or:

  1. Right-click (ctrl+click on some computers) to show the context menu.

  2. Click Paste After.

To paste the content of the clipboard below the line selected in the estimate.

  1. Select in the costbook the estimate you want to paste.

  2. Click Copy.

  3. Click just above the insert point in an estimate.

  4. Click Paste After

  5. In the Cost Row Editor, enter the quantity and press Tab.

  6. Check to be sure text and numbers are correct. Then click Save.

  7. Descriptions and costs will be inserted in your estimate at the point selected.

Tips:

  • Lines copied from an old estimate can be pasted in a new estimate. Be sure to change the quantity to reflect units needed on the new job. See Copy from Estimate to Estimate.

  • When there is nothing in the clipboard, Paste is not available because there is nothing to paste. The command will be grayed out on the Edit menu and the icon on the Tool Bar will be gray.
