Referral tags provide opportunities to win rewards on Crane. For every $1 transaction the person you refer completes, you'll get 25 CNC. You can use the CNC for airtime recharge, data subscription, or swap it for cash. This post explains how to share your referral tag with friends to win CNC.

How to share referral tags on Crane

Step 1: Click "Invite & Win" under Quick Actions on the Crane app homepage.

Step 2: On the Invite A Friend page, click "copy" to share your referral tag. You can also use the email and share options to send your referral tag to friends.

Frequently asked questions about referral tags on Crane

1. How do I know how much I have earned through my referral tag?

The referral activity at the base of the Invite A Friend page shows the amount you've earned and every pending transaction from your referral activity.

The "Friends invited" section shows the number of people you've invited with your referral tags.

2. Why can't I access my Crane Coins (CNC) after referral?

Every Crane user, irrespective of their Know Your Customer (KYC) tier, can share and earn from their referral tags. However, only users who have completed KYC Tier 2 and above requirements can access their referral bonuses. Therefore, if you're not a KYC Tier 2 user, your referral bonuses will be inaccessible. However, if that's not the case, contact support@usecrane.co to resolve your complaints.

To complete KYC Tier 2, you need to provide the following documents:

  • National Identity Number (NIN). If the number attached to your NIN is unavailable, you'll be required to submit a selfie scan.

  • A designated bank account
