The WoW Forever Collector's Edition is a $150 physical box. Blizzard Watch reported in September that the store listed it as sold out. You do not need it, or any pack, to play. WoW Forever comes with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. Press reports put the digital packs at $29.99, $59.99 and $79.99.

Blizzard sells three digital packs and one physical box. The official announcement lists the contents but no prices. Every WoW Forever edition price below comes from Gfinity or Blizzard Watch, so we label it PRESS.

No. Blizzard says access "will be included with your World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time". Blizzard Watch adds that the subscription is not optional. With an active subscription, Forever costs you nothing extra. Without one, the WoW Forever subscription is your entry price. We found no source for a free-to-play plan, so the answer to "will WoW Forever be free" is no for now.

A pack adds the Skyborne race and its Zephras Isle start, plus mounts, cosmetics and other extras. The pack lists contain no other race, zone or dungeon. New combos such as the Undead Paladin and the Dwarf Shaman are not in the pack lists. Our guide to WoW Forever racials and class combos lists them.

The Heroic Pack costs $29.99 in press reports. Blizzard lists the contents in the table above. Gfinity names the cosmetics: the Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb set, a Rucksack back item and a Windwell toy. The pack has no beta access and no game time.

Alliance High Order Skyborne can be a Druid, Hunter, Mage, Rogue or Warrior. Horde Windshaper Skyborne can be a Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman or Warrior. Blizzard calls Zephras Isle a level 1 to 12 starting experience.

Forever has no traditional realms. Method.gg says names are unique across the whole region, and every character needs a first name and a last name. The official roadmap opens early name reservation and character creation on 27 October. Blizzard Watch says the window runs to 3 November, with up to 3 characters. Our WoW Forever release date and name reservation guide has the full timeline.

The Epic Pack costs $59.99 in press reports. Blizzard lists everything in Heroic, plus beta access from 17 September, 30 days of Game Time from 4 November, pets, tabards and 3 Invite-A-Friend codes. Gfinity names a Loyal Companion mount, an Outdoor Wear set, four pets (Zergling, Panda, Diablo, Pachimari) and two tabards.

The step up from Heroic costs $30.00. At $14.99 per month, the 30 days of game time cover about half of that gap. The other half pays for the beta and the cosmetics.

Blizzard's edition list puts guaranteed beta access in the Epic Pack and the bundles above it. The WoW Forever beta cost for guaranteed access is therefore $59.99 (PRESS). The official roadmap ends the beta on 22 October. Zockify and PC Games Hardware say 21 October. The level cap rose from 20 to 30 on 1 October. Beta progress does not carry over to launch.

The Collection costs $79.99 in press reports. Blizzard lists everything in Epic, plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and housing decor. Blizzard sets Forever after Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, so the campaign sits just before Forever in the timeline.

Blizzard calls the Collection "limited-time" and gives no end date. PC Games Hardware and wow.gg say it is on sale until 11 January 2027. The step up from Epic costs $20.00. If you do not plan to play Warcraft III, the Epic Pack gives you the same Skyborne, beta and game time items for less.

The Collector's Edition is the only physical edition, and Blizzard says the Gear Store sells it. Gfinity and Blizzard Watch give the price as $150. Blizzard Watch says the box holds everything in the Collection plus the physical items in the table above.

Blizzard Watch reported on 13 September 2026 that the item was "currently listed as sold out on the store page". We have no source for a restock. Check the Gear Store page yourself before you pay a reseller.

The box costs almost twice the $79.99 (PRESS) Collection, and the extra money pays for physical items only. Buy it if you want the statue on your desk. Skip it if your goal is level 60.

Euro prices are less clear. Press reports give 29.99 euros for Heroic and about 60 and 80 euros for the next two packs. Mein-MMO says the Collection includes a Forsaken and a Human figurine, and no other source in our research says so. A search summary put the Collector's Edition at about 80 euros, which does not match the $150 in two English sources.

For leveling speed, the editions are almost equal. Principal Designer Kris Zierhut is quoted as saying the experience curve did not change. Icy Veins quotes a Blizzard figure: players took 20.5 hours on average to reach level 20 in Forever, against 20.4 hours in Classic. No listed pack item is an XP boost or a level boost.

The Heroic Pack can change how you level through the Skyborne racials. All Skyborne get Walk on Air (a 10 second glide), Wind Blessed (+1% Haste) and Elemental Insight (+5% damage to Elementals). Horde Skyborne add Skysight (+10% run speed). Alliance Skyborne add Read Ley Line (+100% Health and Mana regeneration). No source has measured whether Skyborne level faster than other races.

Our pick: buy no pack if you do not want Skyborne. Buy Heroic if you want Skyborne or a name that other players may take. Buy Epic only for the beta before it ends, or for the extra cosmetics and game time.

The Heroic mount does not skip riding. Blizzard says "players will need to purchase the riding skill in-game to access and use this mount". MassivelyOP reported that riding training costs more gold than before, with no free mount training at 40. Blizzard has published no gold figures. The table shows fan figures from the Warcraft Tavern riding guide, which does not mark them as official.

If the fan figures hold, a pack mount saves you the 20 gold mount price at level 40. You still pay for the training. Our WoW Forever professions guide covers gold while you level.

For the quest order, the RestedXP Forever guide routes the Skyborne start on Zephras Isle for each faction (levels 1 to 12 Horde, 1 to 14 Alliance; Blizzard calls the island a level 1 to 12 start) and moves you on to Westfall or Silverpine Forest.

The new content comes with the subscription. Blizzard lists over 1,000 new quests. warcraft.wiki.gg lists 9 new dungeons and the new zones Mount Hyjal, Riverglades and Shen'dralas. Our list of all 9 new WoW Forever dungeons gives their levels. The roadmap adds three raids on 9 December. The talent trees changed too, and our WoW Forever talents guide lists the calculators.

If you want level 60 fast, put your first money into a route. No pack item changes your XP, and a route guide picks your next quest for you. This tip is our judgment, and no source has measured it. The Heroic Pack costs $29.99 in press reports. The RestedXP Forever guide for one faction costs $30.00, or $27.00 with our link. Our RestedXP coupon guide shows the cart step by step.

The RestedXP update of 9 October 2026 says the Forever guides for levels 1 to 35 are done. The RestedXP shop page says Forever routes for levels 35 to 60 come after launch. Until then, the existing Era routes cover levels 35 to 60. The shop page lists the Dungeon Leveling Guide as work in progress. RestedXP builds the guide alongside the game, and updates keep coming. The addon itself is a free download, and the Forever guides are the paid part. Our comparison of WoW Forever leveling addons covers the free options.

You can also earn a mount in game. Warcraft Tavern says the Legacy reward track gives the Reins of the Spectral Bear at 55 Legacy Points. Our WoW Forever Legacy Points guide explains how to earn them.

The RestedXP Forever guide shows an arrow to your next quest, accepts and turns in quests for you, and tracks your time. Our link takes 10% off the whole cart, so you pay $40.50 for both factions or $27.00 for one. The Forever routes for levels 1 to 35 are done, and routes for 35 to 60 come after launch, with Era routes in the meantime. The Dungeon Leveling Guide is still work in progress.

The minimum cost is a subscription or Game Time. Gfinity lists the subscription at $14.99 per month.

Only for the Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle start. The other races, including the new combos, need no pack.

Blizzard Watch said so on 13 September 2026. We have no newer report.

No. The pack lists show no level boost and no XP item.

Yes. Blizzard Watch lists the Collection contents as part of the box, so you get the Skyborne race and Warcraft III: Reforged too.
