If a fan's phone drops to SOS-only or completely loses connectivity during the Light Show, the experience will unfortunately stop working for that user. The web-based Light Show requires an active internet connection to receive the synchronized timing signals. Testing with airplane mode confirms that losing connectivity will end the Light Show on that device. However, in most modern stadiums with reasonable cellular infrastructure, complete connectivity loss is rare. CUE has successfully run Light Shows in large European stadiums that have less advanced connectivity than typical U.S. venues. For maximum impact, we recommend achieving at least 15% participation — that's the critical mass where the visual effect becomes impressive, and any additional participation just adds to the wow factor.
