How much lead time does CUE typically need before our first event to ensure everything is ready?

CUE's onboarding process is designed to be fast and flexible, with recommended timelines varying based on your specific needs and products:

Standard Recommendation:

CUE typically recommends 4-6 weeks of lead time from contract signing to your first event. This window allows adequate time for account setup, platform configuration, branding customization, team training, and testing without feeling rushed.

What Happens During Onboarding:

Once your contract is signed, CUE immediately turns on your portal access‚ you don't wait until your event date. A training call will be scheduled with a member of the client success team to walk you through the platform. This call will be approximately one hour total, covering all products your team will operate. After training, you'll have full access to test, practice, and build out content well in advance of your event.

Timelines by Product

Light Show with custom tracks:

CUE recommends a 2-3 week lead time to allow for audio file finalization, flash programming, on-screen content creation, and testing.

Custom Fanatic Filters:

Filters require 4-6 weeks for design and development. Simple filters (branded hats, helmets and scarves) may take 1-2 weeks. More complex animated filters require the full timeframe.

Standard products:

Standard products such as Polling Mania, PostUp and Trivia can typically be configured within days with your branded assets.

While CUE recommends these standard timelines, the team is built for agility. CUE has successfully launched clients in as little as 48 hours for straightforward products like PostUP, and can accommodate Light Shows within a week if your team is responsive with assets and decisions.

For trial activations or last-minute events, CUE can move very quickly. If you needed activations ready by Thursday, the team can make that happen. The key is maintaining clear communication and making swift decisions about product selection, branding, and customization preferences.

Key Success Factors:

  • Provide brand assets (logos, colors, graphics) as early as possible.

  • Make decisions quickly on product selection and customization.

  • Ensure your team is available for the scheduled training call.

  • Give yourself comfortable buffer time before your event for testing and familiarization to avoid last-minute scrambles.

  • For custom work, submit requests at the earliest possible stage of your planning process.

While more lead time is always preferable for polish and confidence, CUE's cloud-based platform and streamlined deployment process mean you're not locked into long implementation cycles. The specific timeline depends on your products, customization complexity, and internal approval processes, but 4-6 weeks provides comfortable breathing room for most scenarios, with flexibility on both ends of that spectrum.
