The Featured Post feature in PostUP allows you to highlight specific photos or videos by displaying them as a full-screen overlay on your display, separate from the standard rotating grid layout. When moderating submissions, you can mark a post as 'featured' to give it premium placement and maximum visibility.
You have two ways to feature content:
1. Manual featuring: Click the 'feature' option on any approved photo during moderation to make it take over the entire screen temporarily.
2. Automatic featuring: Enable the 'automatically feature favorited posts' setting, and any post you favorite will automatically cycle through as a featured overlay at configurable intervals (such as every 12 seconds, appearing for 7 seconds each).
You can configure timing parameters for featured posts, including how often they appear and how long each stays on screen. Be strategic with these settings — if featured posts appear too frequently or stay on screen too long, your regular photo grid will have limited visibility.
Featured posts are perfect for highlighting special moments, fan-of-the-game moments, VIP submissions, birthday shoutouts, or sponsor content. The featured post also integrates with CUE's prizing system, allowing you to automatically award prizes to fans whose photos get featured.
Customization: Featured posts display with a colored border or frame around them. The 'Featured Post Background' color setting controls this border, which you can customize to match your team or sponsor colors. Since only a small portion of this border graphic is visible, we recommend using a solid color rather than an elaborate graphic for cleaner results.
