Token Introduction
Tokens are placeholders that automatically pull in information from your event, company, or client data — saving you from having to type it manually every time.
For example, instead of writing an event’s name or event date yourself, you can use a token like {EventName}
or {EventDate}
. When the event is viewed within customer view or Download PDF/Event Prints are generated, Curate automatically replaces those tokens with the actual details.
Why They’re Useful
Save time: No need to retype the same details.
Stay accurate: Reduce errors or outdated info.
Keep things consistent: Use the same format across templates, emails, and documents.

Before Digging into Custom Tokens & Properties, it's important to understand how many you can have. You can view the details within your Subscriptions page and locating "Custom Properties"

The page will be broken out into three tabs:
Event: All event related properties / tokens will live on this page
Contact: Any contact based properties / tokens will live on this page
Archived: Instead of deleting properties, we offer the option to archive them instead to help preserve data that may be needed later on
To create a new custom property / token, locate and click the + Add custom property link
A slide out menu will appear and will give you the option to create a new Event or Contact Property / Token and select a specific field type (Calculated Property, Date, text box, etc...). You'll also have the opportunity to name the property / token. When creating a new one, be sure to name it something that is easy to remember later! Click create once you're done!
The screen will refresh and the new property / token will be displayed at the bottom!
Note: Before leaving this page, you may also adjust the order of the list! This is important to keep in mind if you have many custom properties / tokens and use some more than the others. To move them locate the sorting bar beside the name and you may drag the property / token up and down the list.
Now that you have created a custom token you may use it the same as a system token!
