Where to find my Post-Session tasks?

You never have to look for what work you need to do after each session. Go to the platform home page anytime after your session starts, and you will see the following tasks:

πŸ’‘ Post-session tasks will be available as soon as your session starts. If they do not appear immediately, refresh your page!

πŸ’‘ Each session has its own post-session tasks. You must complete these tasks for every session.

πŸ’‘ You will see the name of the engagement the task is for. Make sure you're filling out the right one if you have multiple engagements πŸ‘€

πŸ’‘ Fill these tasks out by the listed due date (preferably right after your session) to avoid any delays in your payment for the session.

Submitting attendance

Mark attendance for the session. This is how we know the session in fact happened and for how long. We cannot pay you until we know the lesson occurred, so please fill this out ASAP after your session ends!

Session Duration

We understand that sometimes sessions can go over or end early. You can adjust the session duration on the attendance form.

πŸ’‘ Sessions can only be adjusted in 5-minute intervals.

πŸ’‘ The minimum duration is 15 minutes and the maximum duration can be set to 30 minutes more than the original duration.

πŸ’‘ If your session went longer than you can adjust in the attendance form (more than 30 minutes), contact us in your Slack support channel to make the adjustment.

πŸ’‘ We encourage you and your students to stay with the planned schedule to protect your and the family's time. If you and the family are fine with flexible session length, that's fine with us too πŸ˜„

Student Attendance

When filling out attendance, you have four options. This table explains what each option means:

Status

Description

This means...

Attended

Session attended

You WILL be paid for this session

Missed (billable)

Absence without advanced notice (i.e., 24 hours in advance)

Student WILL be billed

You WILL be paid for this session

Cancelled (billable)

Student/Parent did not give advanced notice (less than 24 hours before start of session)

Student WILL be billed

You WILL be paid for this session

Cancelled (non-billable)

Student/Parent gave advanced notice (i.e., 24 hours in advance) to cancel the session

Student will NOT be billed

You will NOT be paid for this session (use this option if you forgot to cancel the session before it started, and it was not a late cancellation)

Submitting Session Notes

You are required to provide session notes for each session. These notes are visible to your student and their parent. They are important for several reasons:

  1. πŸ“š These notes help you keep track of progress and stay organized.

  2. 🧠 They are important for students to review the content covered, and to keep track of their progress!

  3. ✨ We find these notes critical in building long-lasting and strong relationships with the families! Families stay with us longer and take more sessions with us when learning and progress are made visible!

    1. πŸ’» To make progress visible, students and their guardians can access these session notes at any time from their dashboard.

    2. πŸ“© Guardians will receive a reminder about these notes every 4 sessions to stay informed about the progress.

      1. Notes that students will not receive these reminders. Ideally, they should know where to check session notes already and not rely on reminders to check them (see Best Practices below).

🌟 Best practices:

  1. Always communicate critical information and feedback directly in session. Do not rely on session notes to communicate critical feedback. Use them as an opportunity to reiterate but not convey.

  2. Remind and encourage your students to check session notes after each session, especially if you provide references to key resources in your notes.

  3. Always remind your students that they can view session notes from their dashboard at any time!

Follow the suggested structure to fill it out and use the "Submit" button to submit it!

πŸ’‘ Pro tip: copy the suggested template and paste it into the text box to get started!

Where do I find notes from past sessions?

You can access your session information from the Calendar (which you can find on the left Navigation Panel). Just click on the session from your Calendar, and you will be able to see the description/notes you've left for that session:
