Who is the platform for?

The platform is for both guardians and students! Guardians and students will each have their own accounts, and

  1. Students can use the platform to join sessions, cancel sessions and contact their mentors.

  2. In addition to student features, guardians can manage students' profiles and payment settings.

💡 Currently, each student account can only have one guardian account linked. The family should decide which guardian email should be used to manage all sessions!

💡 One guardian can have multiple student accounts linked.

  1. See all upcoming scheduled sessions

    1. students can see all their upcoming sessions

    2. guardians can see all their students' upcoming sessions

  2. No more managing Zoom links!

    1. You can join the lesson from the platform with a simple click of the "Join Lesson" button.

  3. You can now cancel sessions directly

    1. Schedule changed and need to cancel a lesson? No problem! You can now initiate lesson cancellations directly on the platform instead of needing to email your mentor to inform them.

  4. See your lesson notes

    1. You can access all lesson notes that your mentors submitted to us. You can find the "Lesson Notes" button for each engagement directly from your dashboard.

Improved Calendar Experience

The platform is not meant to replace your calendar use. We have recently improved our calendar invite system so you can more confidently rely on it to track and join your sessions.

If you are a Google Calendar user:

  1. Once the mentor schedules a lesson, the lesson calendar event will be directly added to both your and your student’s calendar (unless you have this feature turned off for your Google Calendar).

  2. From the calendar invite, you can easily find the link to log in to our platform and join the lesson!

If you don't currently use Gmail and want to have all your sessions available on your calendar, the easiest way is to create a Google account with your current email and sync this Google Calendar with your own calendar app. Check out the See Your Curious Cardinal Sessions on Your Own Calendar section for more details!
