Responsible Use of AI at Cuttable

Learn about how Cuttable uses AI

Written by Libby

Cuttable uses AI to help brands make better marketing creative, faster, with people in control of every decision. Our platform uses AI to research your brand, analyse the assets you upload, write copy, and generate images, video and creative variations based on your inputs and brand context. We build on leading third-party foundation models, such as Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's GPT and Black Forest Labs' FLUX, rather than training our own. These guidelines set out the commitments Cuttable makes to customers, and what we ask of customers in return, so that AI-generated creative is used safely, lawfully and in a way that protects your brand and your audience.

Our commitments

  • You own your content. You retain ownership of everything you upload and own the outputs you create. Cuttable claims no ownership over your creative.

  • Your data is not used to train AI. Cuttable does not use customer inputs or outputs to train AI models, and we opt out of our AI sub-processors training on Cuttable or customer data. This is set out in our Terms of Service.

  • People stay in control. AI drafts; your team decides. You review and approve content before anything goes live, and Scale and Agency plans add brand controls, user permissions and approval workflows.

  • You choose what is switched on. Generative capabilities that create people, such as Shoots and UGC Studio, can be turned off at your request. Integrations with Shopify, Meta and TikTok are optional.

  • We protect your data. We collect only the personal information needed to run user accounts (name and email). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based and least-privilege, and customer workspaces are segregated. Our DPA and sub-processor list are available on request, and we are working towards SOC 2 Type 1 certification by the end of 2026.

Using Cuttable responsibly

AI output can be inaccurate or unexpected, so we ask every customer to:

  • Review before you publish. Check every asset for accuracy, brand fit and compliance with advertising standards before it goes live. You decide what is published, and our team is happy to help review creative.

  • Use inputs you have rights to. Only upload logos, product imagery, footage and likenesses you own or are licensed to use, and avoid entering sensitive personal or confidential information that the task does not need.

  • Disclose AI content where required. Follow the AI disclosure and labelling rules that apply to your ads, including advertising platform policies and laws covering AI-generated people (such as New York's synthetic performer disclosure law).

  • Don't misuse the platform. Do not use Cuttable to create content that is unlawful, misleading or deceptive, infringes another party's IP, impersonates or depicts real people without consent, or is hateful, sexually explicit or harmful to minors.
