Summary
Connecting your Meta account gives Cuttable access to your ad library and performance data. This helps generate better ads — even if you don't publish through Cuttable.
If you see a prompt to connect Meta
Accounts on a paid plan that have never connected a Meta account may see a one-time, once-per-session prompt inside Cuttable asking them to connect one. The prompt leads with the benefits described in this article, an ad library to draw on, performance data, and performance targets, rather than publishing, because connecting Meta does not require publishing ads through Cuttable.
If you select Connect from the prompt, you're taken through the same connection flow described in Connecting your Meta Account.
If you dismiss the prompt, Cuttable may ask an optional follow-up question about why, with a fixed set of reasons to choose from. Answering this question is optional, and you can dismiss it without choosing a reason. Dismissing the connect prompt, whether or not you answer the follow-up question, pauses both this prompt and the separate prompt to set performance targets for 10 days. Neither prompt appears again until the 10 days have passed.
You do not need to wait for the prompt to connect Meta. Go to Settings, open the Connectors tab, then select Connect on the Meta card and follow the instructions.
Publishing is not the only reason to connect
Many customers connect Meta primarily to publish ads. But publishing is just one part of what the integration enables. Cuttable uses your Meta connection to generate better ads, regardless of where or how you publish them.
You can still benefit from connecting Meta even if you:
Don't own the ad account directly.
Use an agency to publish ads.
Have an existing publishing process that doesn't allow third-party tools.
Your ad library informs your new ads
When your Meta account is connected, Cuttable can access your Meta ad library — the creative you've already run. This lets Cuttable use your existing ads as a reference when generating new ones.
This means:
New ads are grounded in your actual brand creative, not generic templates.
Cuttable can build on what's already working for your brand.
Your outputs are more consistent with the creative style you've already established.
Performance data makes future ads smarter
Cuttable pulls ad performance data from your Meta account — metrics like click-through rate, cost per result, and ROAS — and uses this to inform what to generate next.
This means:
Cuttable can identify which creative approaches have performed best for your brand.
Future ads are guided by what's actually working, not guesswork.
You can view performance across all your Meta ads — including ads not created in Cuttable — in the Insights tab.
Who should connect
The connection must be completed by a Meta Business Manager Business Owner or a user with full admin rights. For the full connection steps, see Connecting your Meta Account.
