Before doing neurofeedback, it's helpful to train your breath first. This leads to a clear, calm mind by simply pacing your breathing.

You can train your breath with the breathing exercise before every session, by clicking on the tab "Breathe" at the bottom of the start session screen:

The breathing exercise guides you to inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds.

The circle expands as you inhale for 4 seconds:

Stays still for 4 seconds as you hold your breath:

And deflates as you exhale for another 8 seconds:

The screen will show the time elapsed, and allow you to pause or stop the exercise.

This exercise is available before every session, and can be done even if a session hasn't been set up, and without having the headset connected. The client can control how long to spend in the exercise.
