What is it?
The Myndlift assessment is a guided program available in the app that takes the user through a series of symptom questionnaires, EEG sensing, and a Continuous Performance Test (CPT). Once the assessment is done, it displays the results for the user and the clinician in an organized report.
Why should you use it?
It can help you better customize the training protocol for your clients.
It lets your client see their analyzed brainwave data, helping them to better understand their training and metrics.
It can be a great tool to visualize progress and create comparative reports.
How to set up an assessment for your client?
When adding a new client, you will be prompted to set up the assessment.
To set up an assessment for an existing client:
Go to the client profile and click "SETUP ASSESSMENT" under the Assessments tab, or
Go to the clients page and click "+ Add" under the Assessment column.
You will then be able to personalize the assessment, including selecting the symptom questionnaires, choosing whether you’d like a full assessment (questionnaires, EEG sensing, behavioral continuous performance task [CPT]), and deciding how often your client will be prompted to repeat the assessment.
After the assessment has been deployed, you can always change the settings from the Assessments tab using the "EDIT" button.
What does the app do during the assessment?
Questionnaires:
The assessment begins with the personalized set of symptom questionnaires you selected for the user (see above). Standardized questionnaires are brief, multiple-choice scales for various conditions that have been validated in the scientific literature. When you add your client, Myndlift automatically recommends a set of questionnaires, but you can select the best set of questionnaires for you.

EEG Sensing:
Central (Cz)
Frontal (Fz)
Left (F3)
Right (F4)
Back (O1)
The user is visually guided on how to correctly place the electrode at each of the above sites. While the EEG is being recorded, the user is instructed either to close or open his/her eyes. The user is generally instructed to simply sit quietly, except for one part when s/he is asked to count backward.
Continuous Performance Task (CPT):
The last step of the assessment is to complete an 8-minute continuous performance task (CPT), a behavioral test of response inhibition, during which the user is instructed to tap only when the target object (an arrow-like shape pointing upward) is shown.
Read more about CPTs.
What's in the results?
The results page is automatically displayed at the conclusion of the assessment. You are able to compare 2 assessments against each other by using the report generator tool (note: you must have 2 completed assessments to use this tool).
The results contain the following in an organized report:
NEW | Summary (Beta) Generated with AI:
The new summary section uses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide insightful and comprehensive analyses of the client's assessment results. Tailored to enhance your client's understanding of their unique assessment results, this innovative summary section goes beyond traditional assessment methods to deliver personalized, data-driven insights.
The summary generated with AI is meant to help you save time. However, we also know that you might want to edit the text based on your own analyses, which you'll be able to do by clicking the edit button to make adjustments.
You also have full control over whether you want to share this summary with your client in-app or not. By enabling the "Share with client" toggle under the summary, your client will get a push notification informing them that a summary of their assessment results is now available for them in-app.
Questionnaires:
Total scores and score ranges for the user's personalized set of standardized symptoms questionnaires.
Continuous Performance Task (CPT):
A table containing a breakdown of the user's performance on the CPT, including raw scores, as well as standardized z-scores and rankings (note that these are based on a comparison database that is still growing).
Brain Maps:
A comparison of the client's EEG activity to a normative population. Blue represents lower-than-normal activity, while red represents a higher-than-normal activity. Done via a sequential quantitative EEG measurement (sqEEG).
EEG Metrics:
Over 20 EEG outcomes, including ratios, activation percentages, and more, with accompanying insights.
EEG Distribution Graphs:
Graphs of the distribution of relative/absolute EEG amplitudes across frequency bands for each electrode site.
EEG Noise:
The assessment results only include data from clean segments of the recordings and the noise is filtered out.
We've improved the Kit Placement Check to prevent high noise percentages. However, if the amount of noise exceeds 75% of the recording for a specific region, you will see an alert near the metric that is affected.
