Introduction

Poorly documented and communicated shift reports can lead to delays, safety hazards, and production inefficiencies in continuously operating facilities and projects. Critical information—such as work completed, obstacles encountered, and actions taken—can easily be lost or misinterpreted when relying on manual or inconsistent reporting methods.

The Shift Reports App ensures a seamless transition between shifts by providing a structured and efficient way to document shift activities. With standardised reporting tools and real-time access to shift data, teams can minimise downtime, maintain safety, and keep production on track.

How it works

Key features

  • Default table/s for data input

  • Dropdown and multiple choice lists for common and regular entries

  • Speed up reporting and eliminate variations in terminology

  • Use formulas to automate calculations and create a summary using cross-table referencing

  • Mobile access for on-the-go reporting

Best practices

  • Organise shift activities, progress updates, and key observations into a default table

  • Standardise inputs with dropdown/multiple choice lists for things like shift, activities, issue categories, etc.

  • Automate key calculations like total downtime, production output, or task completion rates to eliminate manual errors.
