Introduction

Tracking production performance accurately is essential for managing project efficiency and controlling costs. However, traditional methods—such as manually collecting site data and inputting it into spreadsheets or databases—are prone to errors, double handling, and delays. These inefficiencies result in inaccurate performance metrics and hinder timely decision-making.

The Production Rate Report App simplifies this process by allowing teams to automate data collection and production rate calculations. With real-time tracking and powerful reporting tools, teams gain detailed insights into labour, contractor, plant, and material performance, improving project visibility and productivity.

How it works

Key features

  • Automated production rate calculations using formulas.

  • Use drop-down list fields for common items such as: work breakdown structure (WBS), activity code, bid item, cost code, contractor, area, shift.

  • Real-time analytics to view and analyse historical production trends and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies quickly.

  • Yes/No/NA checklists with embedded logic to gather additional information when a specific answer is selected.

Best practices

  • Use predefined lists and fields (e.g., WBS, cost codes) to ensure consistency across all reports.

  • Use filters to analyse production performance at different levels (e.g., by contractor, shift, or activity code).

  • Make important fields required to ensure nothing get missed.

  • Include a 'photo field' in the template (either as a standalone or within a table) to capture evidence of issues causing delays.
