Sometimes, you might spot an issue while you're on the move and don’t have time for a full pre-start or inspection form. Scanning the asset’s QR code lets you quickly log the issue right then and there, so it’s recorded and can be sorted out faster.
To record an issue directly for the asset, follow these steps:
Option 1: Mobile - Using asset QR code
1. Scan the asset QR code with your mobile camera. This will bring you to the asset profile
2. Press the green + button in the bottom right corner of the screen to add a new issue
3. Select 'Create issue'
4. Fill out all the information related to the issue. This includes: Issue Type, Issue Severity, Issue Details and Photos.
Note: The Issue Type field only allows you to select from a dropdown
5. Once done, select 'Save' in the top right corner of the screen
6. Your issue will then be added to the activity feed for this asset
Option 2: Web - Using the Asset Web App
1. Navigate to the 'Issues' section under 'Management' in the left-hand side menu. Select the green 'Add Issue' button in the top right corner of the register
2. Select your asset from the dropdown list. You can start typing info relating to narrow down the list
3. Fill out all the issue details: Issue Type, Severity, Description, Photos. Select 'Save' to submit the issue
Note: The Issue Type field only allows you to select from a dropdown
6. Your issue will be added to the Issues register
