In Gearbelt, a repair form is a simple way to track and manage when something needs fixing - like a piece of equipment, a vehicle, or any asset on site. It lets you record what’s broken, who reported it, how urgent it is, and include things like photos or notes. You can also customise the form to suit how your team works, whether that’s adding fields for updates, sign-offs, or technician details.

To create a repair form template, follow these steps:

1. Go into the 'Faults' section under 'Management' in the left hand-side navigation menu. Select 'Repair Forms' at the top

2. Select 'Add Repair Form' to create your form template from scratch

3. This will open a pane on the right side of the screen, where you'll need to name your form and add any relevant tags, description as required and enable for the associated Location to be notified of a new repair form template for the relevant assets

4. You can then use left-hand side menu to drag and drop the relevant fields you'd like to incorporate in your template. Typically, you'd want to capture the project or location, current mileage or hours, photos, faults addressed, tests conducted, and parts used to repair

Note: You'll be able fully customise your fields and their label, to further explain what input is expected

5. Once done, you can preview your template using the 'Preview' button in the top right corner of the page, and save it using the green 'Save' button next to it

6. Once you've saved your template, a confirmation message will appear

7. You'll then be able to retrieve your template directly in the 'Repair Forms' section and assign it to specific assets
