This field lets you create a task directly within the form, assign it to a team member, set a due date, and add extra details if needed. The assignee will get notified right away, and you’ll be updated once it’s completed - making follow-up tasks easy to track and actioned on time.

Drag and drop the Actions field where you need it in your template.

By default, the field label will be set to 'Actions' - you can rename it to provide more context to users filling out the form on what type of actions is expected.

The Actions field is dynamic - which means that when actions are recorded and assigned via forms, whoever was assigned the action(s) will get notified. Once they complete the action, you will get notified as well of its completion.

In the forms, Actions fields allow to record:

  • A short description of the action required

  • Who you're assigning the action to

  • The action due date

  • The action priority

  • Photos

Users can save the action and get back to it later to add more details, or simply click 'Sign to approve' to issue to action to the relevant assignee.

Note: Assignees won’t be notified until you issue the action by clicking ‘Sign to approve’

Actions can then be viewed and tracked in the 'My Actions' section in the top right section of your workspace.

Note:

  • Only Organisation, Project and Team Controllers can add the Actions Field to any template through the Template Editor

  • Actions created within forms cannot be viewed in the Form Register yet

  • Actions in forms are not currently included in PDF exports

  • Actions in forms are not currently included in CSV exports
