When setting up a workflow template, you'll need to ensure there are the correct number of approval signatures/workflow columns, or you'll be presented with the error message "Incorrect number of approval signatures".

At the top of the fields editor, there is a guide on how many approval signatures are required, based on the number of workflow columns there are.

Note: As a rule of thumb when setting up a workflow, you'll always need one less approval signature, for the number of workflow columns you have.

E.g if you have 3 x workflow columns, you'll need to ensure there are 2 x approval signatures in the form.

Therefore, to avoid the error, simply check how many workflow columns you currently have set up. Then scroll through the template editor to count how many approval signatures (not automatic or manual signatures) have been added. Then add/remove the approval signatures as required.
