Datacapt applies the same password rules to everyone on your company's environment. This article is what to check when a new password is refused, or when you want to know how long the one you have will last.
What a password must contain

When your password expires
A password lasts 90 days. Datacapt emails you before it runs out, five times: 30, 15, 7, 3 and 1 day beforehand.
đĄ Tip: change it when the 30 day email arrives, not when the 1 day email does. Changing a password you have chosen is a minute. Being locked out of a site visit because it expired overnight is not.
Passwords you cannot reuse
Datacapt remembers your last 24 passwords and refuses any of them when you set a new one. With a 90 day cycle, that covers roughly the last six years, so a password you used on this platform before is almost certainly not available again.
â ď¸ Warning: this is the most common reason a new password is refused when it looks like it meets every rule. If Datacapt will not accept a password that is long enough and has the right characters, you have probably used it before. Choose a different one rather than adding a digit to the end.
