Thank you for choosing DaySmart Payments!

It's now time to take your first payment! Choose an option below:

Website Users

Keyed-in Payment

  1. To quickly set up a transaction, click on the +Create button at the top left of the appointment book

  2. Select New Transaction

  3. From the Checkout page, you can search for a client, add one by clicking +Add New Client, or leave alone to quickly setup the appointment as a Walk In Client

  4. Tap in the search bar to add the service or product

  5. If you are completing a test transaction and don't want to charge the full amount for the service, you can edit the price under Regular Price.

  6. Click Proceed to Payments

  7. From the next screen, click on Credit under Payment Methods

  8. To take a payment manually, click on Enter card information

  9. Enter a tip under Tip Amount and click Add, or Click Skip to skip the tip portion and move on to continue taking the payment

  10. Under Enter Card number, enter the Card Number, Expiration Date, Security Code, and Zip code of the card being used

  11. If you want the card saved on file, you can check the option for Keep card on file (note - this will not be visible for walk-in clients)

  12. Click Process Card

  13. The screen will load while it is processing the transaction

  14. Review the transaction from the Order Summary. Once all set, click Close Ticket

  15. You have now successfully taken your first payment and ready to use DaySmart Payments πŸŽ‰

  16. You can send yourself a receipt via email if you'd like, or tap Skip Receipt

  17. When the screen shows Transaction Complete!, select the Calendar option to return to the website

Terminal Payment

  1. From an already scheduled appointment, start by clicking on the appointment and tap the Check In button, then Check Out

    1. You can also go straight to the Checkout page and selecting the appointment to continue without check in.

  2. From the checkout page, click Proceed to Payments

  3. Click the Credit button

  4. Wait for the device to show Connected, then click Process Card

  5. A window will pop up while a signal is sent to the device for checkout. Follow device prompts below

  6. Device will prompt for Tip - Present to your client for them to select from one of the options (You can adjust the tip display to show either percentages or specific amounts, and you can also customize the tip options available for selection within Card Processing Settings)

  7. After the tip is selected, the client will be presented with their total amount due.

  8. From here, they can insert their credit card from the slot at the bottom, swipe from the top, or tap using their card or smart phone/watch if using Apple Pay, Google Pay, Android Pay.

  9. Once the transaction is successful, the device will show Approved, and the web page will return to checkout.

  10. From the web page, click Close Ticket to finalize the payment

  11. Transaction Complete! You can choose to send your client a receipt via email, or printer using a receipt printer.

Mobile Users

Keyed-In Mobile App

  1. To quickly set up a transaction, click on the shopping cart πŸ›’ at the top right of the app

  2. You can Select Existing Client, add one by clicking Add New Client, or Walk In Client which does not link to any client

  3. Under Services and Products, click +Add Service or +Add Product

  4. Search for a service or product from the menu that you would like to use

  5. If you are completing a test transaction, you can edit the price by tapping on the service after it is added

  6. From here, tap on the Price under Financial, and enter the price you want to charge on the card, then tap Save at the upper right.

  7. Back to the checkout screen, tap Payment Details

  8. Select Credit Card under Add Payment

  9. If you want the card saved on file for future use, you can slide the option for Save Card on File

  10. Under Process Card With, click Manual Card Entry

  11. You select a preset tip from the Tip screen, or tap No Tip to move on to the payment of the test transaction

  12. From the Enter Card Details screen, enter the Card Number, Expiration Date, Security Code, and Zip code of the card being used

  13. Tap Pay

  14. You have now successfully taken your first payment and ready to use DaySmart Payments πŸŽ‰

  15. You can send your self a receipt via email if you'd like, or tap Skip Receipt to return to the app

Tap To Pay with iPhone & Android

  1. From Checkout, tap Credit Card under Add Payment

  2. Under Process Card With, tap Tap to Pay on [iPhone/Android]

    1. Note: On the very first use of Tap to Pay on iPhone, the user will be prompted to link their Apple ID with Tap to Pay on iPhone.

  3. You will then be prompted to add a tip.

  4. The Tap to Pay screen will then be presented. The total cost of the transaction will be displayed on the screen. Your client can either hover their card horizontally at the top or hold their phone over the screen. This will work on the front or back of the device.

  5. After a successful transaction, the phone will chime and say 'Done'!

  6. The final screen will ask if they want their receipt e-mailed, printed, or skipped.

Terminal Payment (Stripe reader M2)

  1. Turn the device on

  2. From checkout, select Credit Card under Payment Details

  3. Under Process Card With, select the M2 device (the device could be named something different during setup)

  4. You will be prompted to enter a tip

  5. Once the Amount Due page appears, tap/swipe/insert card

    1. Tap card/phone (Apple Pay/Google Pay) at the top of device

    2. Insert option at the bottom

    3. Swipe option at the top on the backside

  6. The device will beep once and light up to let you know it was successful

    1. 2 beeps mean the transaction failed or was canceled

  7. Once complete, you will be prompted to send receipt via email, print, or skip receipt.
