Important Mobile Trading Warning

Trading from a phone should be done with caution.

Mobile networks can be unstable and may disconnect without warning.

We strongly recommend:

  • Never leave active trades unattended

  • Avoid trading in poor signal areas

  • Do not rely on mobile for prolonged trading sessions

  • Use mobile mainly for monitoring and emergency trade management

  • Keep rTrader Pro open to manage your positions

If your connection drops unexpectedly, you may lose the ability to manage your position in real time.

Best Practices

For better stability:

  • Use WiFi with a strong signal

  • Keep the browser session active

  • Avoid switching apps while trading

  • Use desktop for primary execution

Limitations on Mobile

Desktop is recommended for:

  • Performance monitoring

  • Multi-chart layouts

  • Execution-intensive trading

  • Connectivity diagnostics

Mobile access is best suited for management, not full-time execution.

Troubleshooting

If charts freeze or orders delay:

  • Refresh the browser

  • Restart your network

  • Switch to WiFi or a stronger signal

  • Contact support if problems continue

Mobile Backgrounding & Connection Behavior

When using Onyx on a mobile phone, the operating system (iOS or Android) may pause or suspend the browser page when:

  • The phone is locked

  • The browser is sent to the background

  • You switch apps or tabs

  • Battery or power-saving features activate

When this happens, the live connection used for charts, positions, and order updates may be interrupted. As a result, the platform can appear frozen or unresponsive until a full reconnect occurs.

This is a limitation of mobile browsers and OS power-management behavior, not a platform failure.

What to Do If This Happens

  • Refresh the browser page

  • Or fully close the tab and reopen it

  • Log back in if prompted and confirm data reloads

How to Reduce Occurrences

  • Keep the Onyx tab in the foreground while trading

  • Avoid locking your phone during active trades

  • Disable Low Power Mode while trading (if enabled)

  • Use mobile primarily for monitoring and trade management

While Onyx includes auto-reconnect logic, mobile browsers can still interrupt background connections intermittently. For this reason, desktop trading remains the recommended setup for active execution.
