Yes, you can opt out whenever you like.
Open your profile (tap your photo in the top-left corner)
Go to "Passcode & security"
Select "Opt out of auto-yield."
Take care! It takes effect immediately!
Just one thing to keep in mind: once you opt out, you won't be able to opt back in, so make sure it's the right call for you before confirming.
