How is the interest paid?

Your yield is generated every single day, no exceptions! However, payouts only appear in your account once the accumulated yield reaches €0.01.

So if your balance is on the lower side, you won't see a daily transaction, but rest assured your yield is quietly building up in the background until it hits that threshold.

For example, if you're on Premium with a balance of €5,000, you'd earn around €0.55 per day — about €16.67 per month. 💸

When are the payouts processed?

IIf you activated Account Yield today, your payout will only be processed tomorrow.

That's because interest earned during a day (from 00:00 to 23:59) is calculated and paid out the following day. So interest earned on 16 March gets paid on 17 March.

You can expect your daily payout to land between 12:00 CET and 23:00 CET. So if you haven't seen it yet, it might just be on its way! 💶

How is my interest calculated?

Your interest is based on your average balance across the whole day — not just whatever's sitting there at midnight.

The calculation runs to the second, so every moment your balance changes affects the average. That means adding funds or spending during the day will impact your payout the next day.

Both rates are fixed: 2% APY on Standard, and 4% APY on Premium and Native.

The formula is: Average Balance × 4% ÷ 365 days (for Premium and Native users)

Can you show me some examples? 🧮

All examples below use the fixed 4% APY rate (Premium and Native plans).

1️⃣ You leave your money alone

Your balance sits at €1,000 all day, from 00:00 to 24:00.

  • Step 1 — total: 24h × €1,000 = €24,000

  • Step 2 — average: €24,000 ÷ 24h = €1,000

  • Step 3 — interest: €1,000 × 4% ÷ 365 = €0.11

2️⃣ You top up at lunchtime

You start the day empty and add €500 at midday.

  • 00:00–12:00 (12h): €0

  • 12:00–24:00 (12h): €500

  • Step 1 — total: (12h × €0) + (12h × €500) = €6,000

  • Step 2 — average: €6,000 ÷ 24h = €250

  • Step 3 — interest: €250 × 4% ÷ 365 = €0.03

Even though you finished the day with €500, you only earn on €250 — because the money was only there for half the day.

3️⃣ You get paid, then spend some

Your salary lands in the morning and you spend in the evening.

  • 00:00–08:00 (8h): €100

  • 08:00–20:00 (12h): €1,000

  • 20:00–24:00 (4h): €500

  • Step 1 — total: (8h × €100) + (12h × €1,000) + (4h × €500) = €14,800

  • Step 2 — average: €14,800 ÷ 24h = €616.67

  • Step 3 — interest: €616.67 × 4% ÷ 365 = €0.07

💡 The takeaway: the longer your money stays in your account, the more it earns. Topping up earlier in the day always beats topping up late.
