Log into the Deploi platform, and add a candidate. When choosing their package, include Right to Work. At this point, you will only know which route the candidate will go down if you have asked about their document previously i.e. at an interview.

Once they have been requested in the system, they will get an email asking them to go through the flow. They will be asked to do a right to work and identity check first, and then will be able to proceed to the BS7858 flow.

You will receive an email once they’ve submitted their right to work check. You can then log into the portal and review it, by opening the ‘Right to Work and Identity Check’ dropdown.

The candidate will have provided an image of their document. You will need to review the document and confirm that you think it is authentic and valid, as well as an acceptable form of right to work. You can find the list of all acceptable documents for this route here.

The candidate will need to provide proof of their national insurance number alongside their document.

You can then also view the identity check and confirm that is the person that you are hiring.

If you are happy with the document, you can tick the check box that says ‘A valid document that verifies the candidate’s right to work has been uploaded, and I have seen this document in person.’, and save your confirmation.

This will ensure the check is saved and an audit trail is created. You will be required to see this document in person in order to complete the right to work check fully.
