Enable or pause the AI

The two activation levels: the model and the conversation.

The AI is controlled at two levels: the model and the conversation. For it to reply to a fan, both must be on.

1. At the model level

On the Models page, each model has her AI on / AI paused switch. This is the master switch: when paused, none of this model's conversations are handled by the AI anymore, on any platform.

Models page: the model's switch, top right of her card.

Note: to be able to enable the AI on a model, her setup must first be finalized (profile completed). The app tells you when that's the case.

There is no switch per platform account. To stop the AI on just one of a model's platforms, open the Conversations page, filter on the model and the platform, select the conversations (see below), then click Disable all. New conversations on that platform will then follow the AI by default setting (Settings, General).

2. At the conversation level

At the top of each conversation, the AI switch lets you give that specific conversation to the AI or take it away. It is also in the Automation column of the Conversations page. That's what lets you take over a single fan's conversation without touching the rest (see "Take over a conversation").

A conversation: the AI switch, top right.

To act on several conversations at once, on the Conversations page: filter if needed, then tick the box at the top of the table (1): it selects the conversations on the page (on a phone, tick "Select all on this page"). If there are more, click "Select all … matching items" in the bar that appears. Then click Enable all or Disable all (2) and confirm.

Conversations page: the top box (1), then Enable all (2).

New conversations

In Settings → General, the AI by default setting determines whether the AI automatically takes over each new conversation. Turn it on so you don't have to do it one by one.

What can pause the AI without you

Some situations stop the AI automatically:

  • On a conversation: an alert that "stops the conversation" (Out of script, or a custom alert set up that way). The conversation then waits for you to step in, and you need to re-enable its automation after handling it.

  • On the whole account: a depleted credit balance. The AI stops everywhere and restarts on its own as soon as you top up (see "Out of credits: what happens").

  • A Disconnected platform account: the AI can no longer receive or send anything on that account until it is reconnected (see "A platform account shows Disconnected").
