Adding sounds to a simulation

How to add your own sound files (WAV) to a Fire Studio simulation, loop them and set the volume.

Written by Rich Merritt

Fire Studio imports sounds as WAV files. If your sound is an MP3 or another format, convert it to WAV first with any audio converter.

Add a sound

  1. Click Library to open the Library Panel.

  2. Create a custom library, or select one you already made. Save it under Documents/FireStudio7.

  3. Click Load Sound, browse to your WAV file and click Open.

  4. Select the sound and click Add to put it in the current slide.

  5. In the layer settings, turn Sound Loop on to repeat the sound, or off to play it once. Set Volume from 100 (default) down to 0 (silent).

Moving the simulation

When you export the simulation, your custom sounds are included in its .lbr file. Keep the .dcs and .lbr files together in the same folder. See Exporting and moving simulations to another computer.
