How can I install and use Sim Packs in Fire Studio?
Sim Packs, or Simulation Packs, are add-on content files designed for use in Fire Studio applications. These files do not require license activation and can be installed easily on both Windows and Mac computers.
What are Sim Packs?
Sim Packs are ready-made simulations (.dcs and .lbr files) for training or presentations. There are three separate Sim Pack products: SimPack 1, SimPack 2 and Simulation Pack Pro 3. Each is purchased and installed on its own. They are standalone content packs and do not come with or require activation licenses.
Steps to Install Sim Packs
Follow these steps to install and use Sim Packs in Fire Studio:
1. Download and Unzip the Sim Pack Files
After purchasing a Sim Pack, download the archive file to your computer using the link we send you.
Unzip the file to extract its contents. Typically, the Sim Pack archive will contain
.dcsand.lbrfiles along with other necessary resources.
2. Place Files in the Fire Studio Directory
Locate the Fire Studio folder on your computer. This is usually in your "Documents" folder (e.g.,
FireStudio6orFireStudio7).Copy or move the extracted Sim Pack files (the folder containing
.dcsand.lbrfiles) into that folder. Keep each.dcsfile with its matching.lbrfile.
3. Open Sim Packs in Fire Studio
Open the Fire Studio application (Instructor or Player version as applicable).
Navigate to the "Slide" panel in Fire Studio.
Click on the "Open" option, then browse to the folder where the Sim Pack files are located.
Select a desired simulation file and open it to begin using the Sim Pack content.
