How do I edit or change an active order?

Learn what you can edit on an active Dispatch order, how to make changes, and what to do when a driver is already assigned.

What you can edit on an active order depends on where the order is in the delivery process.

If the order is still awaiting assignment (no driver yet)

You can edit most order details yourself. Go to the Orders tab in your Dispatch dashboard, open the order, and tap Edit. From there you can update:

  • Pickup and drop-off address

  • Contact details

  • Order notes or special instructions

  • Item weight or description

Save your changes when done.

If a driver is already assigned

Once a driver is assigned, pickup and drop-off addresses are locked and cannot be changed through the portal. You can still edit:

  • Company name and contact information

  • Order notes

If you need to change an address after a driver is assigned, contact Dispatch Support right away through the chat in the portal. We will do our best to update the driver before they reach pickup.

How to edit from the delivery detail page

Open the delivery, click the three-dot menu at the top right, and select Edit Delivery. Note that editing may be limited or unavailable depending on the delivery status. Completed and canceled orders cannot be edited.

What if I need to remove a stop on a multi-stop order?

For multi-stop orders, contact Dispatch Support directly and provide your order number and the stop you need removed. Do not attempt to cancel the full order if only one stop has changed.
