Setting Up Your Dispel Account

Does your organization require Okta or Microsoft SSO?
If using Microsoft SSO or Okta please follow the instructions by clicking this button:
Did your organization admin send you a link via email?
If you didn't receive an email from support@dispel.io and instead received an invitation link from your organization admin, please use this guide to set up your Dispel account:
Open your invite link to be brought to the Dispel account creation page.
Please select your preferred language and click continue.
Enter your name which will be used across the Dispel dashboard, and click Continue
Set your password in line with the password security policies shown.
If your organization has MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) required, you will then set up your account with a one-time password service
Save your recovery codes if using MFA.
Scan the QR code or enter the code provided in a one-time password service such as Microsoft Authenticator, Duo, Google Authenticator, or 1Password and then enter the one-time password provided to you.
You are now ready to use Dispel! In the next section we'll review how to request access to resources and how to use them.
Requesting Access
Navigate to https://dashboard.dispel.io in a web browser and enter your credentials.
You should now be presented with the request access form. Enter your name to confirm your identity and click Confirm Identity
Select the facility that you will need to access and click Submit Facility. If you do not see the proper facilities on this screen, reach out to your administrator for assistance.
On this screen, you will state your reason for needing access. This will be included in the request to your administrators and access approvers. After filling out the box, click Submit reason for access
On the calendar page, select the day and time that you will need this access until, and then click Submit requested time. Within this window of time, you will be able to connect without further requests.
On this page, you will review your request info to ensure all necessary information is correct. After verifying the information, click Send access request.
Congratulations, your access request is sent to the admins! At the bottom, you can see the list of admins who have received the access request email, as well as a direct link to your request that you can send to additional admins.
You will receive an email after the admin approves the request. Hit Refresh and you will be able to connect.
It is possible to have multiple overlapping access windows. If you are a member of multiple facilities, you can send a second access request either while the first one is pending or after it is approved. Additionally, if you don't see the desktop you have access to and instead see the Request Access page, click Access Virtual Desktops in approved Facilities.
Connecting with Dispel
During approved access windows, you will be able to connect with Dispel with a virtual desktop.
Your desktop will automatically reserve. After the desktop has finished reserving, you should see the screen below.
Click the Access your Virtual Desktop through the browser link to access the virtual desktop.
After clicking the link, a new tab will open. Enter the username and password credentials, you will find this login information from the previous screen. After inputting the correct username and password, you can simply Login.
Troubleshooting tip: Please make sure that you have all other VPNs or proxies turned off, and attempt logging in to the Azure Bastion once more. Note that this virtual desktop is locked down by IP, meaning that only your local device will be able to access it.
You will shortly be taken to the virtual desktop to perform your tasks. From here you can access all devices that you are given permission to.
Destroying Your Virtual Desktop
When you are all done with your virtual desktop, you can return to the dashboard and simply click Destroy and then Yes, destroy when asked to confirm. If the virtual desktop is not manually destroyed, it will be deleted automatically when it reaches its expiration time.
