Your administrator will first need to help you setup a user and give your user access to a VDI. If you are unsure about any of this, please reach out to your administrator.

  • If You are a MAC User You Will need Microsoft Remote Desktop

    • Open the Apple App Store and download the free application Microsoft Remote Desktop

If this is your first login and you need to setup MFA see:

  1. Log into the Dispel console.

    1. If you are not a member of a region you will need to ask your admin for access to a VDI.

NOTE: If your organization requires it, you may need to request access before reserving a VDI. If not, proceed to step 3.

  2. If you have been added to an region and your organization requires you to request access, you will be met with a request access form upon login. All information entered in this form will be reviewed by an administrator in order to grant access.

  3. Once you are added to an region and VDI stack, a VDI will be automatically reserved for you when one is available. Simply login, and click Quick Connect. This will download an RDP file (guest-user_<IP Address>.rdp) and copy your guest-user password to your clipboard.

  4. The downloaded file will display differently based on your operating system and browser. In all cases you will need to open the RDP file (guest-user_<IP Address>.rdp).

  5. You may be prompted to connect. Click connect and paste your password into the appropriate field. You can copy the password from the console again using the copy button next to the password, if need-be.

  6. You may get a pop-up asking you if you want to connect to an unknown host. Click yes and you will be connected to your virtual desktop.
